Touring

Today we spent a couple of hours on the beach and then a repeat tour around the island and stopped at Rawlins Plantation, an old sugar plantation. We hoped to have a late lunch on the porch but we did not arrive until 2:30 and they only had a $30 buffet that looked really picked over so we continued on and had a hot dog and a burger at the Monkey Bar on Timothy Beach. This is the beach were Mr. X's is located and our favorite haunt.
Just one of the wonderful little cottage style homes with the wood siding that Rob likes. We seem to find this wood only on the really older homes like this one.

This is the view from the terrace at Sunset Cafe on Timothy Beach where we eat breakfast most mornings. The banana pancakes are delicious and we will have to try making them for our little ones.

Here is one of the hundreds of little bars throughout. You can't see it but there is a pool table right inside the front door and the music was so loud you have thought that grammie was inside. Lots and lots of beer bottles, empty, sitting on the front deck.

Here I am sitting in the "ledge" that starts at about 4" and gradually gets deeper into the main pool. A great place for the little ones and big people too.
